3 winners and losers of qualifying

24 Mar

Lewis Hamilton: 2 races 2 poles, all he needs now is to win. So far he’s the dominant man out there, he’s got the one lap pace taking pole position twice and being fastest in 3 practice sessions out of 6.

McLaren: Before the last race they hadn’t had a qualifying 1-2 since 2009, now they’ve had 2 in 2 races, they are the men to beat this season.

Sergio Perez: Hotly tipped by many to be a Ferrari driver soon and after an impeccable race in Melbourne the young Mexican has qualified 10th at Malaysia only 0.1 behind Alonso.

Ferrari: Last weekend was bad and this weekend is only marginally better, Alonso qualified 9th and Massa 12th. Unless they get their skates on they could find themselves competing with Force India and Sauber.

Red Bull: It’s a big drop from qualifying fastest every week to be qualifying 4th and 6th and for Vettel being outqualified by his team mate again he’s going to have to race for his life tomorrow.

Toro Rosso: 10th and 11th last week but it was a different team out there today as they could only imagine 15th and 18th, more work is needed then.
