Eastern Championship round 2 standings.

25 Mar

Round 2 of the Larsens Biscuits Eastern Championship took us to Malaysia.

For those of you who don’t know how this works this championship only covers the 10 races furthest east and is the same as the official world championships except the scoring system is that of pre 2010 (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1).

Drivers Standings:

  1. Fernando Alonso                   Ferrari               14               (last week 5th)
  2. Lewis Hamilton                     McLaren           12                 (3rd)
  3. Jenson Button                        McLaren            10                (1st)
  4. Mark Webber                          Red Bull             10                (4th)
  5. Sergio Perez                            Sauber                   9                (8th)
  6. Sebastian Vettel                     Red Bull               8                (2nd)
  7. Kimi Raikkonen                    Lotus                    6                 (7th)
  8. Kamui Kobayashi                 Sauber                  3                 (6th)

  11. Jules-Eric Vergne                 Toro Rosso          1                 (-)

A wet malaysian race has turned the standings on their head, Alonso has gone from 5th to 1st, Perez from 8th to 5th, Vettel mfrom 2nd to 6th and previous leader Button is down in 3rd.

  1. McLaren                  22               (last week 1st)
  2. Red Bull                   18               (2nd)
  3. Ferrari                      14               (3rd)
  4. Sauber                      12               (4th)

Mercedes are the only big team left not to have scored a point in this championship and if they carry on waiting they could find themselves fighting with the midfield.
