JKEA Qualifying Championship round 2 standings

If you’ve already read about the JKEA Qualifying Championship then you’ll know how it works, if not here it is. It takes place at every race in Q3, the driver who goes fastest gets 10 points 2nd 9 points down to 10th that gets 1 point. As well as this 3 bonus points are available for the driver who sets the fastest lap come the race. Here are the drivers standings:

  4. Mark Webber              Red Bull                13               (5th)
  5. Romain Grosjean       Lotus                    12                (3rd)
  6. Sebastian Vettel          Red Bull               10                (6th)
  7. Kimi Raikkonen         Lotus                      9                  (-)
  8. Nico Rosberg               Mercedes              7                   (7th)
  9. Pastor Maldonado     Williams               3                  (8th)
  10. Nico Hulkenburg       Force India           2                   (9th)

Commiserations go to Romain Grosjean who after a strong first round has fallen down to 5th. Great performances though to Kimi Raikkonen who’s gone from nowhere to 7th, Lewis Hamilton who’s taken pole twice and Jenson Button who’s still hanging on at the top.

Huge congratulations are in order for McLaren who are striding ahead by 22 points, the battle for 2nd is close though as we have three teams with 2 points of each other.
