About

When did you first watch F1?

I can’t specify a race or a year, I’m pretty sure it was around 2002-2004, but I can’t remember what was happening except that Schumacher was winning and Takuma Sato was racing. I only started getting interested around 2008 when I decided I wanted to work in it when I grew up.

Who are your favourite drivers?

My favourite drivers are Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso, Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenburg. But I also quite like Mark Webber (he’s good fun), Kimi Raikkonen (because he’s so elusive), Michael Schumacher (one of a kind) and Heikki Kovalainen (but I don’t know why). I also particularly like hearing the stories about the drivers who have achieved great things but whose achievements have been unsung.

What’s your favourite team?

Ferrari, when I started watching F1 they were winning everything and isn’t every 6 yr old a glory supporter? The other teams I really like are Sauber (great ethos), Williams (who doesn’t love them) and Force India (what they’ve achieved with their resources is phenomenal).

Why did you start an F1 blog?

When I was 13 I became transfixed with the idea of working in F1 and due to my favourite subjects being maths and science I decided I wanted to be an F1 engineer. Therefore I started this blog to try and help me achieve that aim, and although there have been times when I’ve found it a drag I’ve really enjoyed it.

What do you hope the future holds for you?

My short term aims are to get some motor sport related work experience with the grand dream of someday working as an F1 engineer, if that fails I’d like to become a maths teacher. Next year I’m taking Maths, Further Maths Physics and Chemistry at A-level and then I hope to take engineering at university.

I’m sorry if there is a period of time where I don’t post but I’m afraid I won’t be able to post during the exam seasons as I’ll be revising.

If there’s anything you’d like to see on the site or any improvements that would make your experience of the site better don’t hesitate to make a comment.

Have been looking at Chris Amon’s career and the Amon F1 car, thanks for triggering that; don’t forget that Graham Hill was on the verge of becoming a successful constructor when he crashed his plane

If this is about the unsung heroes then you’re too late. All 7 have already been decided, but your comments will be noted for if I do it again.
